Katharine A. Higgins-Shea
Katharine A. Higgins-Shea is a 1996 graduate of Belchertown High School, where she played soccer, basketball, and softball, was a member of the band, and was active in student government. She continued competing in athletics while attending Brandeis University, as a member of the soccer and indoor and outdoor track and field teams. She graduated from Brandeis University in 2000 and then attended Suffolk University Law School graduating
cum laude in January 2005. While in law school Kate was a member of the Suffolk University Law Review. She was admitted to the Massachusetts bar in June 2005. From March, 2005 until August, 2007, Kate served as a Law Clerk to the Justices of the Massachusetts Superior Court in Springfield where she focused on civil and criminal litigation and legal research. As a result of her work at the Superior Court, Kate brings a solid background in civil and criminal litigation to Lyon & Fitzpatrick. Kate lives in Belchertown with her husband and two children.
